Dr Volker Wissing handed over the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport to his successors. With effect from 6 May 2025, Patrick Schnieder will take over as Federal Minister of Transport, while Dr Karsten Wildberger will take over as Federal Minister for Digital and State Modernisation.

Christian Hirte and Ulrich Lange will support Patrick Schnieder as Parliamentary State Secretaries.
