• that suggestions, ideas and inventions are acknowledged and may be forwarded to the competent directorates-general for informational purposes. No evaluation or remuneration is provided. Similarly, an assessment or economic evaluation of individual patents or inventions by our Ministry is not possible due to neutrality reasons.
• that due to the federal division of responsibilities between the Federal Government and the federal states, the Federal Ministry is unable to make statements regarding the implementation and enforcement of road traffic regulations, i.e., the Road Traffic Regulations (StVO), the Road Traffic Registration and Licensing Regulations (StVZO), the Ordinance for the Licensing of Drivers (FeV), etc., or to decide on exceptions. This responsibility lies solely with the authorities competent under federal state law. The only exception to this is orders on traffic law under the StVO for motorways; in this case, the Federal Autobahn GmbH is responsible.
• that the BMDV cannot provide legal advice or make individual assessments of specific situations.
• that you may already find helpful information to answer your question under the Frequently Asked Questions
• that no extensive research work will be conducted for school or student projects. This also applies to interview requests and extensive questionnaires.
